WHAT IS A STEM CAMP?
STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering, Math
Otherwise known as the skills your child will need to get a job. It will most likely one that has not been created yet.
Math camp may be a hard sell for most kids, but it is always incorporated into the other three areas.
What, exactly, goes on at STEM camps?
Students will experiment, build, program, compute and design. If science class was like summer camp, we wouldn't have a STEM pipeline problem. Your child will do amazing things such as:
Create video games
Design iPhone apps
Use a 3D printer
Learn about web design and cybersecurity
Fly a drone
Explore biology and the natural world
Become CSI expert
Benefits of STEM Camps
For the kids:
Prevent the brain drain
Learn that science and math have real-world applications
Spark interest in future careers
Meet people with similar interests
For the parents:
