What's included in the data

Our database includes 125 camp providers in the Triad area. Some camps were excluded from this analysis because they do not meet our full or half day criteria. Full-day camps must last more than six hours, so 9am-3pm camps are excluded. Half day camps must last 3-4 hours. Finally, only 5-day camps were included.

This represents 66 providers for full day camps, and 53 for half day camps. For the graphs, average session cost was calculated at the provider level, and then the total average was based on that list. The category data is based on the average of all the individual sessions in each category.
